Nick Smith serves as the Vice President of Managed Care Operations at Medix Infusion.  With over 20 years of experience in healthcare and insurance operations, Nick is a seasoned leader with broad and diverse expertise in operating healthcare delivery systems, accountable care organizations, and driving business transformation initiatives.

Nick has held executive roles at industry leading organizations, including United Health Group, Optum and Parkland Health & Hospital System, where he successfully led delivery systems management and business transformation programs focused on improving patient access to quality-based care and delivering on his commitment to achieving the Triple Aim.  Nick also brings a wealth of experience in health economics and developing alternative payment methodologies.  His extensive experience and ability to develop high performing operational teams has consistently resulted in organizational growth and sustained operational stability.

Nick holds a BA from Tampa College.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as pursuing his passions for sports, music, and community.
