Melissa is a Healthcare Industry veteran, with over 20 years of experience in various settings from managed care contract negotiations to practice management consulting specializing in business start-ups, expansions, mergers, and acquisitions.

Melissa studied at the College of Charleston in South Carolina majoring in business marketing and chemistry.  She has spent her entire career in the Healthcare spectrum beginning on the payer side. She then helped develop the consulting arm of the state Medical Association and served as the operations manager there. She continued her career working directly with physician groups during transitional periods and excelled as a consultant to over 250 practices in Texas with a focus on improving profitability.

As the VP of Managed Care for Medix Infusion, she is responsible for evaluating opportunities for contracting in new markets, renegotiating existing agreements with payers, pharmacy contracting, and payer relations at large. Her vast career in Healthcare from all angles enables her to work with the payers for creative payment strategies and solutions. 

Melissa has been married to John for 26 years and is a proud mom to Blake and Kassidy, and a pack of Great Danes.  In her spare time, she enjoys live music, thrifting for home décor, DIY projects and being outdoors with her dogs and husband.  She also volunteers her time helping the homeless and to LGBTQIA+ causes.
